Kennebunk Savings has joined forces with the Maine State Housing Authority (MaineHousing) to help families reduce heating and energy costs this winter. We are offering the MaineHousing Home Energy Loan Program (HELP) to qualified Maine homeowners – with a low fixed rate loan for home improvements to increase your home’s energy efficiency.
HELP Loan funds can be used for:
- Home energy audits
- Insulation, air sealing and weather stripping
- Heating systems modifications and replacements
- Storm doors and storm windows
- Energy star rated windows and appliances
- Roof repairs, and more
HELP Loan features:
- Interest Rate fixed at 3.95% (4.194% APR*)
- Loan amounts available from $2,800 to $30,000
- Payment terms up to 15 years
- Income guideline apply, however most Maine homeowners are eligible
- Energy audit is required
Save on your Energy Audit with Kennebunk Savings
While you are free to choose any certified auditor on the MaineHousing list, Kennebunk Savings has partnered with Monroe Infrared Technologies (MIT), a certified energy auditor in York County, to bring you more cost savings. MIT will provide an energy audit at the reduced rate of $495 for approved Kennebunk Savings HELP customers (approximately $150 off the average cost of an audit).
